The largest parade in York
Region starts at Library Lane and heads south on Main Street to Hwy 7. This year
the parade marshal is The voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs Joe Bowen.



Pondapalooza at Toogood Pond – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After the parade, come to the pond for non-stop fun. Root for your favourites in our famous Krazy Kraft Race (Lots of prizes!). Also, chip and putt with the Angus Glen team, enjoy BBQ and listen to great tunes! Try canoeing and friendly canoe races. Click here for more details and registration form.

Heritage Train 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Conditions permitting, the Heritage Train returns.
Hourly round trips from Markham GO Station (starting at 11) to Unionville GO
Station and back, with a stop at Unionville Village Station on northbound trips.
$8 per passenger over 12 months old.
Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Interac accepted at Unionville Village Station; cash
only (exact change preferred) at Markham and Unionville GO Stations.

Rubber Duck Race – 2:30 p.m.
The duck race is back! Spend $3 (2
for $5) and watch your duck battle its way along Bruce Creek to victory. First
prize is $500 cash, sponsored by Aviva Canada; 2nd prize is the use of a BMW
convertible for a weekend, sponsored by Town & Country; 3rd prize is a $250 gift
certificate sponsored by Henry’s Camera. Purchase tickets at Carlton & Main.
Race starts at the Main Street Bridge at 2:30pm.

FunZone by the Rinks – All Day
Spend your energy in this non-stop
zone between Crosby Arena and the Curling Club. Rock
Climbing is back by popular demand! New this year – a 22
foot Giant Inflatable Slide and Jousting. Tickets for all: $2 each play,
or 3 for $5. Also in the FunZone – YTV’s “Weird on
Wheels” and Hoops with Silver Knights Basketball, as
well as Jumping Castles in Crosby Park!
WOW – Markham Tap Water is Great! - All day
Visit Markham’s WOW – Water on Wheels trailer – to sample our tap water and
learn more about how safe, accessible and cost-effective it is! We’re located
between Crosby Arena and the Curling Club.
Just bring your reusable water bottle to give Markham tap water a try.
Village Market – All day
Shop to your heart’s content at dozens of craft and food booths up and down Main St. and along Carlton St.
