Ontario, flowing through Newmarket and culminating in historic
Unionville, it builds bridges between the arts, between community
groups and professionals, and between communities in Upper and Lower
York Region. It is a festival where internationally known musicians
and poets mingle with regional performers and audiences of all ages,
creating exciting new concerts and traversing new artistic worlds.

The
Seven Generations Children's Workshop and Parade - 10am-1pm
Children are invited to join our fun and culturally inspiring
workshop led by Metis storytellers, Animimkee Wabu (Thunder Water)
and children's musician Magoo. Children will learn about the Ojibway
seven grandfather teachings that were passed down from parent to
child over the years and will work in a variety of media to create
sustainably produced costumes, props and artwork. The children will
represent the spirit animals based on these teachings in the
Children's Parade down Unionville Main Street, incorporating simple
dance steps taught by the artists. The parade culminates at Too Good
Pond to view the Canoe Ballet and Opera at 1pm where Mayor Frank
Scarpitti will join in as music drifts across the pond.
The program has limited space so secure your spot today by calling
